Joy Dianne is a grief guide, modern mystic, ceremonialist and healing artist. She has traveled the globe studying how other cultures handle death and has worked with monks, indigenous elders, healers and medicinemen. She has visited temples, ashrams and sacred sites around the world only to realize she was the object of her own search. Tears of Joy is her book in progress.
She uses yoga,guided meditation and visualization, somatic movement and dance, sound and music as medicine as well as the expressive arts as alternative therapeutic processes for individuals, families, groups and retreats.
J. Dianne has degrees in architecture and psychology from Washington University and a professional certification in grief, loss & trauma from Southwestern College. She is a certified somatic grief and trauma informed yoga teacher trained by the Grief Support Network. She holds several other certifications including trauma informed art therapy and Polyvagal Theory. Joy lives in Santa Fe with her husband and their two Standard Poodles.
